Alton P. Dillard II

Senior Public Information Officer, Denver Elections Division

Alton P. Dillard II is a 1981 graduate of Denver East High School and in 1986 he earned a B.A. in Journalism-Mass Communications from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the UNC Alumni Association in 2009 and named the Colorado Association of Black Journalists Public Relations Professional of the Year in 2000.

Dillard serves as Senior Public Information Officer and Legislative Liaison for the Denver Elections Division where he oversees all external election-related communications including website and social media platforms, serves as chief spokesman, and staff photographer.

Dillard is also a volunteer Varsity Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Montbello High School and an avid cyclist.
