Plans, Training, Exercise, & EOC Operations Manager, University of Washington
Eli King is the Plans, Training, and Exercise Manager and EOC Operations Manager for the University of Washington. Mrs. King oversees comprehensive emergency planning, policy guidance, training and disaster exercises. She is also an instructor for Emergency Management Institute a course are Master Exercise Practitioner Program, Situational Awareness and Common Operating Picture, and the Integrated Emergency Management Course Program. Mrs. King represents the University of Washington as a member of the DHS Science and Technology Social Media Working Group. She is also the founder of the Cascadia VOST that provides support to agencies and jurisdictions in Washington State.
This session will help participants learn hands-on skills to create Google maps for community engagement and crisis response. Students will learn about data layering, searching, tagging, and map dissemination. Participants will need an internet-capable device (laptop preferred).
