Amanda Keller is a communications specialist in the County Manager’s Office with Johnson County, Kansas Government. In addition to other duties, Amanda is the primary day-to-day manager of the county’s jocogov accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.
Prior to joining Johnson County Government in August 2015, Amanda worked for Mid-America Regional Council, the Kansas City area’s regional bi-state metropolitan planning organization. Her role at MARC was two-fold: she managed several of the agency’s social media accounts and planned and purchased a diverse mix of paid media campaigns for multiple programs. Additionally Amanda has worked in radio, advertising and corporate marketing.
Amanda earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She helped establish and co-chairs the social media subcommittee of the Kansas City area’s Regional Association of Public Information Officers, which meets monthly.
