Luke Stowe is the Digital Services Coordinator for the City of Evanston, IL. He has also worked for Lake and Champaign Counties in various web, social media and technology roles. Luke is active with the National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW) and serves on the Libertyville District 70 School Board. He enjoys the challenges of leveraging technology to make local government more open, effective, and responsive.
Anil Chawla is the Founder & CEO of ArchiveSocial, a Durham, NC-based company that specializes in archiving social media for public records requirements.
ArchiveSocial partnered with the State of North Carolina in 2010 to launch the world’s first open, interactive archive of social media. Since then, ArchiveSocial has enabled hundreds of prominent government entities such as San Francisco, Austin, and the State of North Carolina to ensure long-term transparency for government social media communications. The company was selected for the prestigious Code for America accelerator in 2013, and recognized as a 2014 Cool Vendor in Government by leading analyst firm Gartner.
Anil has spent more than a decade developing innovative software solutions, and is a subject matter expert on social media records management. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
Kristy Dalton is the founder and CEO of Government Social Media LLC. She has extensive experience in both government and private industry and is frequently asked to deliver keynotes, judge award programs and advise government agencies on digital strategy.
She recently served as New Media Director for e.Republic Inc., the parent company behind popular industry publications such as Government Technology and GOVERNING magazines.
Kristy is the creator and host of GovGirl, a unique online video show focused on government innovation. What started off as a tiny blog about her experiences during her 10-year career in government turned into a popular video series followed by government employees across the country.
Beyond social media, Kristy is also passionate about smartly designed, highly functional websites. She formerly served on the board of directors of the National Association of Government Web Professionals, and her government career included being the web manager for the City of Reno, NV, public relations coordinator for the City of Wheaton, IL and deputy clerk for the Town of Cortland, IL.
Kristy is a proud alum of Northern Illinois University, where she holds a Master’s Degree in Communication and graduated with honors.
Lindsay Crudele served across two mayoral administrations as the City of Boston’s first director of social media; she founded a pioneering, award-winning digital engagement program that helped transform the relationship between citizens and their government from everyday engagement through historic crises.
Today, Lindsay is Digital Director for Citizen Schools, the nationwide non-profit working to overcome the opportunity gap for low-income middle school students.
